March 26, 2024 was a special day as our newly elected PASWI Pampanga Chapter officers took their oath administered by Dir. Gemma Gabuya and Dir. Jess Far. The event was coincided with Don Honorio Ventura State University Department of Social Work celebration World Social Work Day with the theme "Buen Vivir: Shared Future for Transformative Change" today, March 26, 2024, at Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center DHVSU Gymnasium.
The highlight of the day featured Mr. Ronnel T. Golimlim, RSW, the President of the PASWI-Pampanga Chapter and Foundation Manager of the Hann Foundation, who delivered a talk about social work in the corporate setting and the focus on attaining sustainable development.
Among the esteemed guests of honor are Director Jess S. Far, RSW, MSW, National Director for NCR, Philippine Association of Social Workers Inc., and Child Protection Specialist at UNICEF, as well as Director Gemma B. Gabuya, RSW, National Director for Luzon PASWI, also serving as the National Program Manager for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
They shared their journey with the social work profession and their experiences in the field, which added depth to the event. They also encouraged the new set of PASWI Officers to give their best in uniting all RSW in the province and region.
Present in the event was the past president Dean Elena C. Tesoro whose presence inspired everyone.
