Bicol University - Social Work Department has always prided itself for its outstanding performance in national licensure examinations for Social Work. Consistently, BU graduates showed their worth by not only having high percentage of passers but also landing Board Top Notchers.
Most recent was the exams for Social Workers in 2019, where 132 passed the licensure exam, with 92.6% passing rate and secured Top 4 performing Social Work School in the Philippines.
After graduation and passing the board exams, Alumnis have showed deep love and respect not only to the University and to the Social Work Department, but also to Prof. Villaflor, by way of excelling in their own field of specialization, and taking time to give back to their Alma Mater in whatever capacity they can share.
The success of the University and the Social Work Department can be attributed to the passion, hard work and vision of Prof. Francia Villaflor, Chair of the Social Work Department of BUCSSP, Bicol University. She was the 2018 Outstanding Professional in the Field of Social Work in 2018. She have dedicated her self in building the Social Work program in the University, training new faculty members and raising the bar to produce not only skilled social workers, but passionate professionals in serving individuals, groups and communities in need. Dr. Francia Villaflor, is more than a Social Worker and a Professor, she is the mother and mentor of many social work graduates and professional social workers of the University since the 80s.
To all Social Workers who are in the field of Academe and Social Work Education around the country and in other parts of the world, PASWI Pampanga Honors you and thanks you for giving your best in producing quality Professional Social Workers. Kudos to all of you!
